Golden Corral is holding its Military Appreciation Monday on November 17, 2008.

The free “thank you” dinner is available to any person who has ever served in the United States Military. If you are a veteran, retired, currently serving, in the National Guard or Reserves, you are invited to participate in Golden Corral’s Military Appreciation Monday dinner.

November 11, 2007, McCormick & Schmicks Restaurants will honor military veterans with a free entree. Valid ID must be presented, and a list of acceptable IDs as well as participating locations is at the link above.

"For the past 6 years, Golden Corral has been honoring the US Military with a free “thank you” dinner and beverage at any Golden Corral restaurant on Military Appreciation Monday (first Monday after Veteran’s Day). This year, Golden Corral has designated Monday, November 12, 2007, from 5 to 9 pm, to honor any person who has ever served in the United States Military."

The Sesame Street Talk, Listen, Connect kit is free for military families with deployed mothers or fathers. The kit includes a Sesame Street video and other materials to help youngsters cope with the difficulty of a deployment.

These are very cute designs done by children, and you can choose a prewritten thank you or write your own. Regardless of political belief or view on the war in Iraq, we can never give our soldiers, sailors, and Marines enough thanks for doing all they do, so please take a moment to send a smile to someone who deserves it!
